This was a charming tale full of passion - a fairy tale for adults who love romance.Rhys and Aileen are interesting characters who each bring their own baggage to the relationship. I enjoyed having a strong heroine and learning a little about the Celtic culture.
Although this is a standalone, it is fun to have the backstory from Book 1 which was a five star read for me. If you are not willing to suspend your disbelief or you don't like steamy scenes then you should give this a pass. For the rest of us, it is a delightful way to spend a few hours.
I would love to read a follow-up book about Rhys' brother, Dafydd.

Where to start, a Prince with a curse that he does not believe in but has to get cured, a healer that has no desire to help but is kidnapped against her will and so begins one of the better stories I ever read.
Not an action packed swashbuckling tale but a bit of such things a couple of times, most of this is spent with the two of them in a very love/hate relationship since both deny anything happening between them.
The paranormal aspects of this story are minimal but are of key importance from the opening pages.
This is a very slow burn romance so sit back and enjoy as Rhys and Aileen work though a great romance that both seek to deny and know for certain this is not a tale of "love at first sight". You have to work for this one, amazing story...
I enjoyed this one! Okay, it was not perfect. You can read the other reviews - some of which are too harsh. I, however, loved the book. It kept my attention throughout, and I stayed up late to finish it. This rarely happens, and to me this is the epitome of a good book. I loved the back and forth between the two main characters. There were enough love scenes and action scenes. I liked the minor characters. I think this is a good romance novel. Not perfect, but well worth anyone's time.
Farey Bride
I actullly liked book. I just honestly feel that the last few chapters were rushed. I was disappointed at that point. I wish the author had taken her time. This came off as beauty and the beast retelling. Yet the herione was desrcibed as plain numerous times but its clear she is not the male kept describing a beauty and then a few times as plain but kept saying he met a beauty that day she was brought before him. The author should change a few things. She can't be a beauty at one point and then plain at one.
I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
What a good story, I truly enjoyed it very much.
A man destroyed by his own desires, finds there is only way to rid of his disfigure, but alas he will have to kidnap her.
A woman who only wants to be accepted, not only for herself but desired as well. She thinks she is just plain, lanky, with wild crazy red hair. But she has magic, but only for those who seek her out, whether intentionally or otherwise.
Can she heal a man who will not believe in what is right in front of him?
I don't know to me this was a heart wrenching story, She wants to feel the ocean breeze, he wants to feel....

An nice easy read. I am rating it 3 stars, because when I finished and I didn't feel like there was anything that stood out to me. Otherwise it would be a light story if you were looking for something to read one afternoon. I felt the overall story line was very predictable, the dialogue between characters was good, but none of the characters really resonated with me.
Interesting novel with a unique premise. A scarred nobleman kidnaps an Irish healer in the hopes that she can heal him. There is a lot that happens in this story and there were a few places where is dragged a bit, but all in all, it was a well written and entertaining read. I enjoyed the characters and the connection between them. The secondary characters came alive in a nice way as well. Nothing like a faery story with a bit of magic.
Apparently I am one of those people who cannot get into the Celtic legends. I found the repetitive believe/don't believe boring after awhile.
The heroine was older and not a beauty -- we are told that over and over. She is kidnapped by the hero and his brother. The hero has an affliction of his skin and wears a mask. A strange man had appeared to him telling of an Irish healer. They take the heroine to the hero's home where she sets about healing his people but has no luck ridding the hero of his problem. He makes her promise to stay one year, then he will send her home.
An attraction grows and she learns about his past. There is also a clue to what has caused his affliction.
The love story itself was good but I just got tired of reading about the old ways.
